2014 NAEHCY Annual Conference Service Project

Giving the Basics

Giving the Basics helps strengthen the foundation of the Kansas City Metro area by providing products that change lives immediately. What kind of products change lives that quickly?...Basic items...Very simple items...HUMAN DIGNITY items to be exact.

None of us can imagine going without basic human dignity items like soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, and feminine hygiene products. And yet, this is happening all over our country, especially among our homeless families. Giving the Basics is determined to collect what people are ashamed to ask for for fear of losing their dignity and invites NAEHCY 2014 conference attendees to participate in this effort.
