Mariesol Gomez has worked in the Clark County School District for 21 years. In her current position, she connects families experiencing homelessness with early educational opportunities in the greater Las Vegas area. She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the collaborative partnership between the Department of Health and Human Services of the state of Nevada and her local McKinney-Vento program. Mariesol works within the Clark County School District’s McKinney-Vento program to expand its reach into various early childhood opportunities such as school district-sponsored preschool programs, Child Care and Development Block Grant, Head Start, Early Head Start, and Child Find.
While not in the office she is the unofficial party planner for friends and family and enjoys her free time with her husband and their little dog, Oreo.
