Kristin Myers is the State Coordinator for Foster Care Education at the Colorado Department of Education. Kristin began her career in education as a para-professional in 2002 and has served in various roles in education since that time. Prior to her work at the Colorado Department of Education, Kristin was a school counselor for ten years, primarily at the high school level. She has experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level in school and clinical counseling and psychology. Kristin is also a Doctoral Candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision Ph.D program at the University of Northern Colorado. She is currently working on her dissertation on posttraumatic growth in youth formerly involved in the foster care system in relation to educational outcomes.
