Each year, NAEHCY honors those whose efforts and expertise have had a positive and lasting impact on the education of youth experiencing homelessness. The NAEHCY Awards recognize professionals who go above and beyond their duties with a true passion and commitment to improving outcomes for homeless youth.
Nominations will be accepted from July 1 through Monday, September 23, 2024 (EXTENDED!). Three awards will be announced and presented at the 2024 NAEHCY Conference in November:
- McKinney-Vento State Coordinator of the Year
- Homeless Liaison of the Year
- Sandra Neese Lifetime Achievement Award
We have extended the nomination deadline to accommodate our members and stakeholders and to ensure that deserving award nominees are able to be considered for an award this year. Each nomination must include:

- A narrative outlining:
- The relationship between the nominee and the person nominating them
- A detailed description of how the nominee has met or exceeded the criteria indicated for that award category
