Celebrating Our 2025 NAEHCY Scholars

NAEHCY Scholars proudly accept their awards during the 2025 NAEHCY Scholars Recognition Luncheon, celebrating resilience, achievement, and bright futures ahead.

At our 2025 NAEHCY Conference in Dallas, we proudly recognized our NAEHCY Scholars—students whose resilience, leadership, and academic achievement reflect the strength and determination of children and youth experiencing homelessness across the country.

The NAEHCY Scholars program honors students who have demonstrated perseverance in the face of housing instability while continuing to pursue their educational goals. This year, 13 scholars were recognized, with 10 choosing to be publicly acknowledged. Three additional scholars requested privacy, and we honor and respect their decision.

Each year, NAEHCY recognizes outstanding leaders whose dedication, advocacy, and service strengthen support systems for children and youth experiencing homelessness. These award recipients exemplify excellence in implementation of the McKinney-Vento Act, statewide leadership, and long-standing commitment to advancing educational access and equity.


2025 McKinney-Vento Liaison of the Year

The 2025 McKinney-Vento Liaison of the Year was awarded to Sara Berg, Students in Transition Coordinator with Grand Forks Public Schools in Grand Forks, North Dakota!

2025 McKinney-Vento State Coordinator of the Year

Dr. Zach Stumbo of the Kentucky Department of Education was honored as the 2025 McKinney-Vento State Coordinator of the Year, recognizing his leadership and dedication to supporting students experiencing homelessness across the state.

2025 Sandra Neese Lifetime Achievement Award

Jeff Beg, Outreach Coordinator for the Albuquerque Public Schools McKinney-Vento Program, was honored with the 2025 Sandra Neese Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his longstanding commitment and impactful service supporting students and families experiencing homelessness.

Need Help Accessing Your 2025 Conference Certificate?

If you attended the 2025 NAEHCY Annual Conference and need to access your certificate of attendance or session credits, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Complete the Required Evaluation

Under NASW guidelines, attendees must complete the Overall Conference Evaluation before accessing their certificate.

Step 2: Visit the Certificate Site

Access the 2025 NAEHCY Conference Certificate Site (select live or virtual conference as applicable): https://mtsreport.com/naehcy/25/

Step 3: Locate Your Conference Attendee ID

On the homepage of the certificate site, scroll to the bottom and select the Attendee Lookup link to retrieve your Conference Attendee ID.

Step 4: Log In

Use your last name and Conference Attendee ID to log in.

Step 5: Complete the Evaluation

Once logged in, complete the Overall Conference Evaluation.

Step 6: Download or Print Your Certificate

After submitting the evaluation, you will be able to view, print, and download your certificate of attendance.

Missing Session Credits?

If you believe any session credits are missing after reviewing your certificate, please email info@naehcy.org with the specific names of the sessions you believe are missing. (Session names are required in order to process updates.)
