Dr. Sandra Wallace Nethels has faithfully served the Effingham County community located in southeast Georgia for many years. Each of the positions she has held has reflected one common denominator: her passion for giving back to the community and serving others.

Currently, Dr. Nethels serves as the Special Programs Coordinator for the Effingham County School District. Her responsibilities in this role include the supervision of the school district’s Title I programs, the provision of educational services for Hospital/Homebound students, and the Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) Program. Dr. Nethels also supervises her district’s Foster Care Point of Contact and McKinney-Vento Liaison.

Dr. Nethels believes in her community first. Born and raised in Effingham County, she grew up amongst family, friends, and neighbors who gave her the support she needed to succeed. She believes every student deserves the best conditions for academic success.

Collaboration is more important than ever before and the only way you can really get to real collaboration is through exposure.
