Access in Action: Launching 2026 With Strategy and Support

Overview:
Start 2026 with a strategy rooted in proactive support, system coordination, and early outreach. This session equips MVLs to help families ACCESS needed connection points as 2026 begins. Our goal is to help homeless families move from worry to winning around winter needs, prepare and plan for timely school-year transitions, and strengthen referral systems before spring barriers emerge. With a focus on clear vision and cross-agency collaboration, you will leave charged and ready to launch the year responsively and not reactively.
ACCESS Begins Early Spotlights:
Winter supports: heating needs, warming stations, national utility and energy assistance
Early transition outreach for key student milestones:
• Pre-K to Kindergarten
• Fifth to Sixth Grade
• Eighth to Ninth Grade
• High School Graduation and Postsecondary (MV/UHY verification, FAFSA, senior supports)
