From state and federal administrators to community advocates and parents, NAEHCY supports a wide network working to help more than 1.5 million students experiencing homelessness each year.

Our History

1989

NAEHCY is founded by State Coordinators to support students in temporary housing.

1998

Membership expands beyond State Coordinators.

2002

NAEHCY opens membership to all and becomes a dues-supported association.

Today

A thriving national network dedicated to educational equity.
