Supporting Youth Through Housing Stability: Join NAEHCY for an FYI Voucher Information Session
September 22 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Schools and education professionals play an important role in efforts to prevent and end youth homelessness. McKinney-Vento liaisons and foster care points of contact are often among the first to recognize when students and young adults are experiencing housing instability or preparing to transition from foster care without stable housing. Join us to learn how FYI housing vouchers can serve as an important resource for eligible youth and young adults. Participants will learn more about FYI voucher eligibility and implementation, the role of community partners in connecting young people to housing resources, and ways school systems can strengthen coordination and referrals. The session will also highlight examples of communities where education systems are actively engaged in FYI voucher implementation and cross-system collaboration. This webinar is ideal for McKinney-Vento liaisons, foster care points of contact, educators, housing partners, and other professionals supporting youth and young adults experiencing housing instability.
