“What Do McKinney-Vento Liaisons Do?” Explainer Video
McKinney-Vento Liaisons, NAEHCY is here to support you so you can focus on maximizing the results of supporting your students and families. Our new “explainer video” is a complimentary resource for you to use in spaces and situations where your work may be misunderstood and challenged.
We encourage you to use it throughout your district and community. It makes a great companion piece to presentations and community meetings. Here are some ideas for how to use this resource:
- Play it to kick off your district’s next community meeting.
- Provide it to your superintendent to use at your next board meeting. Use it as a launchpad to present your recent work and district’s data on homeless and vulnerable youth.
- Provide it to your district’s communications department and ask them to include it on the website and/or on social media channels.
- Include it your next newsletter or email to stakeholders. Ask them to share it with their networks, as well.
- Add a link to the video in your email signature.
How to View, Download, or Embed the Video
You can view the video on Vimeo or Facebook, and to download an MP4 of the video, click here.
To embed the video, click on the “Share” button above the video description in Vimeo. Choose the “Embed” tab on the pop-up screen and copy the embed code. Place the code into the appropriate space on your webpage, in digital signage, etc.

The National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth, known by its acronym NAEHCY, is the professional membership organization for McKinney-Vento Liaisons.
