38th Annual NAEHCY Conference: Pathways With Promise: Centering Students, Strengthening Systems
Are you ready to be the voice and energy of NAEHCY’s premier event?
NAEHCY is excited to open applications for the Emcee of our 38th Annual Conference, taking place October 31 – November 3, 2026 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Step into the spotlight and help us create a dynamic, engaging, and memorable experience for attendees from across the country.
How to Apply
- Submit a Bio: Share a brief introduction, including relevant experience with public speaking or event hosting
- Tell Us Why You’re a Great Fit: Provide a short statement describing why you are the ideal candidate
- Show Us Your Skills: Submit a video (maximum 3 minutes) demonstrating your emcee style, presence, and audience engagement
- Submit by Friday, June 30, 2026: Email your materials, including a link to your video, to conference@naehcy.org with the subject line “Emcee Competition Entry”
Key Dates and Details
- Conference Dates: October 31 – November 3, 2026 (Nashville, TN)
- Arrival Date: Friday, October 30, 2026
- Compensation: $1,000 stipend + travel (airfare, hotel, registration)

Role Responsibilities
- Facilitate general sessions and guide the flow of the conference
- Introduce keynote speakers, panelists, and presenters
- Maintain timing and ensure smooth transitions
- Engage the audience through announcements, highlights, and interaction
- Collaborate with NAEHCY staff and A/V team
Time Commitment
- The selected emcee must be available for the full duration of the conference, including pre-conference preparation.
- Required Arrival: Friday, October 30, 2026.
- Emcee responsibilities will begin with conference programming and conclude on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at approximately 2:00 pm
Additional Competition Specifics
- Open to all NAEHCY members
- Applications must be received by Friday, June 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm (EDT)
- A panel of NAEHCY stakeholders will review submissions
- Finalists may be invited to participate in a virtual interview
- The selected Emcee will be announced in early September
- NAEHCY reserves the right to select co-emcees for the conference
